1st Shift Machine Operator Job Description We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator and overhead Machine Crane Operator to join our team. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime required about 10-15 hours a week. Overtime hours are from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, with the possibility of Saturday work when necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift and overhead crane to move materials within our facility, ensuring both efficiency and safety. Responsibilities Operate a forklift to transport materials within the production facility. Load and unload materials from delivery trucks. Stack and organize products and raw materials. Conduct regular maintenance checks on the forklift. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. Assist in inventory management and stock control. Collaborate with production team members to maintain smooth workflow. Operate overhead cranes to transport materials within the production facility. Lift and position heavy equipment and products as needed. Perform routine maintenance checks on crane equipment. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient material handling. Maintain accurate records of material movements. While the facility is fairly clean, it can become dirty due to metal processing. It is not climate-controlled, so expect warmer conditions in summer and cooler conditions in winter.
