Manufacturing Machine Operator position with amazing opportunity for growth! A family-oriented company in Riverside, MO is in need of a Machine Operator with a strong mechanical background. Experience in machine operation within the metal and fabrication field is Ideal! This is an associate to hire role.
Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform in-process inspections including dimensional verification and surface prep; perform additional inspections pertaining to product specification
- Maintain records of inspections and results pertaining to jobs, verify finished products dimensions and their conformance with drawings, work order specifications
- Verify proper calibration of all inspection instruments and gauges for workstation
- Know and understand how to properly navigate Medix per job/spool
- Complete all daily checklists and TPMs
- Ensure all area 5S duties are getting completed
- Communicate and interact with Line Leads and Shift Supervisors on maintenance issues needed with the machinery
Machine Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment is preferred
- Computer literacy of Microsoft Windows software is preferred
- Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes
- Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and ability to read tape measure and measuring tools (caliper, micrometers, vernier scale) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints desired
- Good written and oral communication skills required
- Good problem-solving capabilities desired
- Able to work independently, efficiently and be self-motivated and detail-oriented
