CNC Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating both a CNC Laser and CNC Press Brake. Your role will include performing laser cutting and welding operations, selecting proper cutting and welding programs, and establishing proper stop locations. You will also adjust laser beam focal points, perform setups for cutting and welding operations, and conduct dimensional inspections. General maintenance tasks will be part of your responsibilities, as well as detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager. Responsibilities Operate CNC Laser and CNC Press Brake machines. Perform laser cutting and welding operations. Select proper cutting and welding programs and fixtures. Establish proper stop locations and adjust laser beam focal points. Perform setups for cutting and welding operations. Conduct general maintenance as required. Perform dimensional inspections. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions. Work in different production areas as needed. Essential Skills Experience operating CNC Laser for 2-5 years. Ability to set up the machine and perform basic program edits. Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents written in English. Experience operating a Press Brake. Capability to perform heavy lifting. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
