Grab this opportunity to work with one of our client for a Production Operator position with pay range started from $18/HR to $21/HR where you will get the room to grow and make your perfect career Job Description As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to assist in various locations within our manufacturing plant. This dynamic role involves rotating through different tasks to ensure a varied and engaging workday. Responsibilities Operate drill press, banding, and polishing machines to handle and clean steel tubes. Learn to operate centerless grinders for grinding the exterior of steel tubes. Utilize a sit-down forklift to transport steel tubes. Operate an overhead crane to move large steel tubes. Place steel tubes, either 12 feet or 24 feet, into machines. Tie and remove chokes (canvas bands) from tubes, approximately 100-200 times daily. Comfortably work at heights. Wipe oil off tubes with rags. Slide bars into fiber tubes. Bundle and band finished tubes. Perform 5S general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy work environment. Essential Skills 1+ year of manufacturing experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift. 1+ year of experience operating a sit-down forklift. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a machine operator and grinder. Knowledge of manual machine operations and quality inspection. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is conducted in a manufacturing plant during 1st shift hours from 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes, with initial provisions for shoe covers. We provide safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, and uniforms to ensure a safe work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.56 - $20.56/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
