About the Role
Client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead a high-impact brownfield redevelopment project involving the demolition of an existing structure and construction of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) . This role requires strong leadership in jobsite safety, budget oversight, contractor coordination, and regulatory compliance, while supporting the delivery and commissioning of critical equipment for the new facility.

Key Responsibilities
Construction Project Management & Execution (50%)

• Supervise all aspects of project execution: demolition, PEMB construction, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Direct subcontractors/vendors to meet specifications, safety protocols, and deadlines.
• Track budgets, approve contractor billing, forecast cost impacts, and provide transparent reporting.
• Conduct daily safety and coordination briefings with contractors and site staff.
• Ensure compliance with local/state regulations, permitting, environmental controls, and waste handling.
• Coordinate closely with facility operators to minimize disruption to ongoing site operations.

Safety Leadership (30%)

• Lead all site safety efforts including briefings, audits, and EHS compliance plans.
• Define safe access/work zones, issue permits, and enforce safety procedures.
• Complete a minimum of 3 SMATs per month and maintain incident registers.

Project Equipment Engineering & Delivery (20%)

• Oversee end-to-end development and integration of facility-critical equipment.
• Align equipment specifications with performance, safety, and scalability targets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery and commissioning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial construction or related sectors.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD or equivalent tools .
• Knowledge of demolition protocols, construction safety , and environmental regulations .

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 Certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Experience with LEED or sustainable building practices.
• Familiarity with commissioning, permitting, and technical documentation processes.

• Project Budget Oversight: $40M USD
• Team Size: Manages multiple third-party construction teams onsite
• Scope: Regional (Wheatfield, NY facility)
• Travel: Minimal; position is 80100% onsite

Physical & Work Requirements

• Must be able to perform on-site inspections and lead field-based teams.
• Must be able to read plans, documents, and inspect construction work.
• Frequent standing, walking, and working in construction environments required.
