Saw Operator/CNC Operator Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Saw Operator/CNC Operator, where you will work in a woodworking environment on the 1st shift in Davenport, Iowa. This position involves operating sophisticated machinery such as woodworking CNC, computerized beam saws, dowel insertion machines, or edge banders. As part of the Machine Group, you will bring your expertise in handling large machinery and basic computer skills to ensure efficient and precise operations. Responsibilities Operate and maintain CNC machinery to ensure smooth and accurate performance. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to execute tasks according to specifications. Adjust and set machines as necessary to accommodate different tasks and ensure optimal functioning. Ensure meticulousness in following instructions and maintaining quality standards. Handle one-off pieces with precision, ensuring high accuracy in measurements. Essential Skills 1-2 years of CNC experience, particularly in woodworking. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Mechanical aptitude and experience with operating large machinery. Work Environment Work in a woodshop-like setting, which can be dusty and a bit dirty at times. The facility is well-lit, with temperatures varying from hot in summer to colder in winter. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with potential overtime extending to 4:30pm. Also enjoy NO weekends!
