Maintenance Engineer - 2nd Shift Job Description This position involves working as a Process Technician during the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, with a possibility of working on Saturdays and Sundays. The role requires overseeing the schedule, initiating press startups, and verifying processes, along with writing and testing parameters. The technician will also perform mold changeovers and troubleshoot sensors, basic wiring, and work on secondary equipment using various welding and testing machines. Responsibilities Check the schedule on the board and determine which presses need to be started up. Conduct process verification and write up the necessary parameters. Test and run assigned parts. Answer calls and perform mold changeovers. Assist with mold changes and collaborate with other Process Technicians on the shift. Troubleshoot sensors and perform basic wiring tasks. Work on secondary equipment including sonic welders, spin welders, vibration welders, hot plate welders, leak testers, and various poke yokes. Essential Skills 2-4 years of experience in a plastic injection facility. Ability to perform mold changes and have progressed from a mold setting position to a Process Technician role. 2-4 years of experience working as a Process Technician. Complete understanding of Process Verification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mold changes, plastics, and injection molding. Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
