General Production Worker**

**Job Description**

The General Production Worker is responsible for operating machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps according to work instructions. The role requires learning how to gauge products, moving materials and parts within the work area, replenishing stock, maintaining production and quality documentation, understanding quality alerts, and reporting issues. Additionally, the worker will repair defective production parts and assist with corrective action programs.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate all machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps.

+ Learn how to gauge products as required.

+ Move material and parts within the cell work area and replenish stock.

+ Maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation.

+ Understand quality alerts and report issues to the team lead.

+ Repair defective or rejected production parts daily and assist in corrective action programs.

+ Work an 8-hour shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

+ Must be able to work 7 days a week.

**Essential Skills**

+ Manufacturing experience with recent experience as a production worker, operator, or assembler for a total of 2 years.

+ Good tenure in previous positions.

+ Assembly experience in manufacturing.

+ Ability to lift 40 lbs and stack pumps for shipping.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Gauge experience is a nice-to-have skill.

The new plant in Warren is a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission, and electric drive components and systems, supporting hybrid and electrified powertrains. The facility includes renovated electrical systems, CNC machinist lines, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. The plant works with major automotive companies such as Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. Employees are part of a growing, motivated team with machinery moving to Michigan during Thanksgiving, and production is set to start at the beginning of the year. The environment includes various machines such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
