CNC Operator**
**Job Description**
The CNC Operator is responsible for machining, assembling, and finishing rare earth magnet material and hardware to meet customer specifications. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining and finishing equipment while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Optimize safety and minimize risk by wearing required PPE and adhering to safety precautions.
+ Read, understand, and follow work instructions and process control standards, accessing Paradigm to review and print them as necessary.
+ Interpret customer drawings, verifying drawing part numbers and revision levels to match manufacturing routers.
+ Set up machinery by installing proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment, selecting programs, and calibrating tools as required.
+ Maintain machinery and work area by cleaning and organizing, filling coolant or oil, performing preventative maintenance, and requesting reorder of consumables.
+ Operate various machining and finishing equipment, including CNC and manual machining tools such as centerless grinders, CNC mills and lathes, wire EDM machines, and others.
+ Verify and accurately record data into ERP computer systems and manufacturing routers, maintaining records for inspections and quality assurance.
+ Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
+ Adhere to EEC escalation policy, reporting issues affecting quality, safety, or productivity to supervisors.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge and competency in CNC machinery and operation.
+ Proficiency in inspection and use of precision measuring tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of machining processes.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification preferred.
+ Minimum of 2 years of machining experience required.
+ Ability to follow standard procedures with some minor operational decision-making responsibilities.
+ Experience in verbal and written communication outside the department.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
