Machine Operator**

**Job Description**

The individual in this role will set up and operate press brakes within the fabrication department. The machines primarily include Cincinnati, Amanda, and other metal forming machines such as LVD Strippit turrets. The operator will retrieve and execute programs, set the machines up, conduct short production runs of 5-100 pieces, dismantle machines, and set them up again throughout the day.

1st Shift: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm M-Th

Pay: $22 - 30/hour

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate press brake machines.

+ Pull up and execute programs for machine operation.

+ Conduct short production runs ranging from 5 to 100 pieces.

+ Tear down and set up machines multiple times throughout the day.

**Essential Skills**

+ 2+ years of press brake setup experience.

+ Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for inspection.

+ Strong knowledge of bends and allowances.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with laser operation.

+ Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

A Dunwoody instructor provides weekly training on programming and equipment setup as part of a four-year apprenticeship program for those aiming to become journeyman sheet metal workers. The work schedule is 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, Minnesota.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
