Press Brake Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled press brake Operator to set up and operate our brand new 225-ton Bystronic. The role involves working with sheet metal thicknesses ranging from 20 gauge up to 3/8 inch, and requires the ability to work directly from blueprints. The successful candidate will handle an average of 2-5 setups per day and must be familiar with tolerances of +/-1 degree. Additionally, you will assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment being used. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines. Work directly from blueprints. Perform an average of 2-5 setups per day. Ensure familiarity with tolerances of +/-1 degree. Assist with preventative maintenance for fabrication equipment. Essential Skills 2+ years of press brake operating experience. Proficiency in blueprint reading. Ability to use shop math and convert between decimals, percentages, and fractions. Understanding of press brake, sheet metal, and fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Possess mathematical problem-solving ability. Demonstrate appropriate use of various measuring equipment. Ability to identify materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a spacious environment equipped with fairly new machines, including a year-old 225-ton Bystronic. We are looking at buying a new building due to growth and national sales improvements. The role is for the 2nd shift, operating Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, with overtime available on Fridays. Some flexibility is available upon prior agreement.
