Quality Chemical Engineer

Job Description

Develops and utilizes key process indicators and statistical methods to determine process effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, best practices, and lead teams in driving continuous quality improvement. Leads, drives, and supports corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification activities for product quality issues and customer complaints. Ensures that quality reporting and records related to incoming and in-process quality trends, returns analysis, complaint investigation, and corrective action activity are clearly documented and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and use key process indicators and statistical methods to assess process effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Lead teams in driving continuous quality improvement.
  • Support and drive corrective and preventive actions for product quality issues.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Document and maintain quality reporting and records related to incoming and in-process quality trends.
  • Analyze returns and investigate complaints.
  • Ensure corrective action activities are clearly documented and maintained.
Essential Skills
  • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on product quality.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis.
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Automotive Quality Standard IATF (or earlier versions) is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
