Stand Up Forklift Operator

Material Handler 1st Shift: - 6:00am to 2:00pm (Monday- Friday) - Overtime: Up to 2 hours BEFORE shift - Pay: $19.84 an hour Job Description The role primarily involves operating a stand-up forklift, particularly the Crown brand, and handling products weighing up to 2000 lbs. You will spend 75% or more of your day operating the forklift while frequently jumping on and off to pull, pick, and stage products. You will also prepare orders for shipment using computer-generated work orders, check products, and load them into semi-trailers for shipment. Ensuring that product shipments meet quality specifications is crucial, as well as performing safety checks on various warehouse equipment. Responsibilities Operate a stand-up forklift for most of the workday. Jump on and off the forklift to pull, pick, and stage products. Prepare orders for shipment using computer-generated work orders. Check products and load them into semi-trailers for shipment. Ensure product and shipment quality specifications are met. Perform safety checks on various warehouse equipment including forklifts, man-up, and order pickers. Essential Skills 6+ months of recent experience operating a stand-up forklift (preferably Crown brand, but not required). Comfortable reading and writing work reports to pick and pull. Proficiency in using computers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing on feet all day in steel-toe shoes. Work Environment The role is based in a brand new facility, with the warehouse/distribution center now operating independently in its own building since February 2024. The distribution center spans 248,489 square feet and maintains a very clean environment. Work during the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime one Saturday a month. Overtime may be up to 2 hours before the shift. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
