Background
- Works under general direction from the Maintenance Manager in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards
- Broad responsibility to provide industrial maintenance support, technical expertise, and guidance for maintenance and repair of equipment and structures
Tasks
- Primary focus on reliability of Equipment and Utilities
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to uphold operational efficiency and regulatory compliance with cGMP and Food Safety protocols
- Assess the Computerized Maintenance System and Preventive Maintenance Program with the Preventive Maintenance Coordinator for effectiveness and accuracy
- Determine the presence and availability of critical spare parts with Engineering and MRO Buyer
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to provide expertise or assistance during repairs or projects
- Perform or direct general plant maintenance (corrective and preventive tasks) as needed
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards; ensure repair documentation is maintained
- Routinely assess plant utilities such as Compressed Air, Steam, Water Systems for quality and functionality
- Establish, evaluate or adjust work procedures
- Requisition tools, equipment and supplies
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
- Ability to lead and make decisions to support maintenance manager and operations

- Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management for the betterment of Jost operations
Specifications
Education - H.S. diploma with advanced technical training through CET, Military, Tech School; or B.S. degree in Engineering (preferred)
5 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; previous supervision experience preferred
Knowledge of:
Electrical and Mechanical systems in Industrial/Manufacturing environment
Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD
Mathematics and English comprehension - intermediate to advanced
Advanced level of safety, health and environmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
Skill in:
Troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Reading drawings, service manuals and blueprints
Organization and self-motivation

Ability to:

Comprehend and interpret oral and written English instruction
