POSITION SUMMARY

The Scheduler/Capacity Planner develops, develops the Schedule, balancing production capacity, resources, and inventory for one or more Business Unit(s). You will act as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Program Management developing the Master Schedule and Capacity Planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Scheduler/Capacity Planner develops, develops the Schedule, balancing production capacity, resources, and inventory for one or more Business Unit(s)
  • You will act as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Program Management developing the Schedule and Capacity Planning
  • Organized and pay attention to the details; you are conscientious and meticulous in your work.
  • Develops, publishes, and maintains the Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources, and capacity planning.
  • Integrates sales orders with Schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Participates in forecasting/planning meetings with Business Development, Finance, and other related departments.
  • Document key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory, and scheduling accuracy.
  • Performs other related duties, as required
  • Work to reduce and eliminate barriers and obstacles to improve overall cost and scheduling performance.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and workers, and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.
