Job Opening: CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd Shift $20-25.HR Location: Davenport, IA Job Type: Full-Time | 2nd Shift About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Adjust machine controls and tool settings to maintain tight tolerances. Monitor and replenish machine fluids such as oil and coolant. Replace and sharpen cutting tools using grinders or cutter-grinding machines. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job setup sheets to ensure accurate production. Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools. Perform setups and verify part quality independently. Operate forklifts and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Proficient in operating CNC lathes, mills, and VMCs (Vertical Machining Centers preferred). Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
