Forming Machine Operator

Forming Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Forming Machine Operator to join our team. You will be assigned to either the Production Control & Sheer or Forming areas, where you will play a crucial role in handling and processing materials. Responsibilities Load and unload materials onto stretch form machines. Utilize hand tools, including basic tools, crow bars, and screwdrivers. Retrieve materials from freezers as necessary. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and/or cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to machines. Observe machine operations during the initial production phase to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions. Adjust machine controls or other control media as required. Set up and operate various machines such as hydraulic shear, chop saw, and forklift. Perform set-up and tear-down using forklifts and other material handling equipment. Use gauges, scales, calipers, mylars, blueprints, customer tools, and other measuring equipment to check first part quality. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation and sheet metal fabrication. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Mechanical aptitude. Use of tape measurer. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
