Supports manufacturing by planning, directing and coordinating manufacturing processes with machine shop operations. Typical duties include preparing and estimating machine cycle times and costs, programming CNC mills, developing manufacturing methods, selecting and requisitioning of tools for efficient manufacturing, designing and building fixtures for CNC machines, training CNC machine operators on new jobs, and preparing detailed manufacturing instructions and documents. Requirements include an associates degree in a related technical area (four-year degree preferred), two years of related experience, strong CNC programming and tooling knowledge, and good communication and math skills. Must be well versed in machining methods on castings and welded fabrications, and have strong tooling knowledge.
