Job Title: Tool Room Supervisor/Tooling Design Engineer - PR#97 Company: Schaeffler Group U S A Inc. Location: Joplin, MO Description: Schaeffler Group USA Inc., a dynamic global automotive & industrial supplier, is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer/Tool Room Supervisor to support the Facilities Engineering Manager at our Joplin , MO facility. The Tooling Design Engineer/Tool Room Supervisor will be responsible for all tool room personnel and functions for services to all manufacturing units. The Tooling Design Engineer/Tool Room Supervisor will also design tooling and/or mechanical systems for use by production or service departments. This includes preparation of scale layout drawings and/or schematic diagrams of mechanical and/or electrical products and components from design concepts submitted by other personnel or from own concept. In addition, the Tooling Design Engineer/Tool Room Supervisor will maintain drawing revisions to ensure only the current revision is released for tooling manufacture. The selected candidate will have a strong mathematical and design background along with supervisory experience. A bachelors degree is preferred. The candidate must have experience and functional knowledge of tool room equipment, including but not limited to milling, drilling, turning, surface and rotary grinding machines. The candidate must also be able to interpret technical drawings to determine work procedures required to complete orders. The candidate must also have knowledge and have use of GD&T practices, experience with Microsoft Office, CAD and 3-D Modeling, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
