Job Title: Machinist / Tool and Die maker Apprentice - Company: Location: pittsburgh, PA Description: TOOL & DIE MAKER APPRENTICE Responsibilities: -Learn to operate and have functional knowledge of milling machines, drill press, grinder, lathe, polishing operations, a variety of measuring equipment and heat treating process. -Learn and understand specifications such as blueprints, sketches models and descriptions. -Attend NTMA approved apprenticeship training classes. -Assist senior Tool & Die Makers in project work. -Assists in building molds and related tooling for both new and repair projects. -Learns how to create hand sketches to augment verbal instructions. -Rough cores, cavities, fixtures, and water lines. -Performs base work: drill, tap, name tags, water check.
