Fabrication Manufacturing Project Manager Duties: Work as the Fabrication Manufacturing Project Manager using your experience to create partnerships through an honest exchange of information and expertise while gaining a thorough understanding of the project requirements, time frame, budget, function or special design integration needs.   Manage several projects at a time with work load adjusted for complexity of projects as determined by your supervisor.   In accomplishing this, close communications will be required with the Directors of Operations for both the wood and metal shops, as well as Drafting, and Engineering.   Serves as the hands on point person taking total ownership for the successful flow of all relevant information within and without the organization as it relates to all activities from product and project proposal to installation closeout.   Internal estimating will also be your responsibility but numbers will be presented to senior staff for bid pricing and proposal.   Be the true motivator in seeing that production is properly sequenced to assure delivery.   Also play a role in selecting subs, and managing their deliverables.   Use of a combination of computer skills will be necessary in that approximately 20-25% of your time will be spent on the computer working in the organizations ERP system, or in creating and managing Excel Spreadsheets and managing email requests for information.   Use and share with others your elementary understanding of engineering and manufacturing as it would relate to the ability to assess the probability of successful being able to manufacture a proposed product.   Use of AutoCAD software will be required in that you will need to open and manage files both internal and with clients and vendors.   It will not be necessary to draw or redline in CAD as that will be your Drafting departments responsibility.   Occasional travel responsibilities usually related to the completion of a project.
