Solder Operator/Assembler POSITION SUMMARY Performs soldering and desoldering operations on SMT parts. Able to solder 30AWG wire to QFPs. Works from defined and undefined documentation. IMPORTANT: Applicants must pass a successful completion of various solder test applications. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ? Solder and Desolder small SMT parts using a soldering iron and desoldering station. ? Able to solder 30 AWG wires to Quad Flat Packs (QFPs). ? Assembles modules, units and/or subassemblies. Uses defined and undefined documentation, notes and/or self-devised processes. May assemble prototypes. ? Complies with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Handling Precautions, and safety procedures. ? Uses assembly-aids, such as microscopes, screw guns, etc. ? Assist Manufacturing Engineering in resolving design and production problems. ? Upon request, received material, stocks material, inspects incoming material per procedures. ? Upon request, packs material for shipping. ? Promptly completes all assignments delegated by management discretion. ? Works overtime as needed to meet the needs of the business. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION ? Minimum Education Level: Ability to read, understand, speak and write English ? Computer Literate: High School Diploma ?
