Leadership and military experience are also important considerations - OR - a college degree (minimum AA) in a technical field from an accredited college or university. Candidates will be Hands-On tested to demonstrate knowledge and craft skills. Local candidates preferred. Electrical apprenticeship, or vocational certificate, or military electrical training or college equivalent AND Two (2) years power plant, industrial or utility experience at the Journey-level. Or US Navy/Coast Guard EM1 rating. Solid experience in repairing and replacing pumps, valves, packing , bearings, filters, mechanical seals, gaskets, lubrication, pipefitting, welding, rigging, torquing, alignments, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment in a power plant, OR Basic knowledge and experience in mechanical and general knowledge and experience in power plants operations, industrial instrumentation/control or industrial electricity. Leadership and military experience are also important considerations, OR A college degree (minimum AA) in a technical field from an accredited college or university.
