This position provides customers with solution to problems in the form of customized engineering products, which serves customer need, meets technical and economical goals and is profitable to manufacture.

  • Primary responsibility for responding to RFQ’s with the preparation and delivery of proposals to customers within the defined lead times Coordinates with customers, Outside Sales, Sales Representatives in a specific sales region to convince prospective customer of desirability and practicability of valve products & services offered in new construction and plant level sales opportunities.
  • Plays a key role in the development and implementation of sales strategies for sales opportunities in the region of responsibility
  • Review blueprints, plans, schematics, P&IDs and other customer technical and commercial specifications to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client’s use of proposed equipment of services
  • Responsible for accurate sizing, design selection, and error free proposal preparation including execution and organization of contract Risk Review Process
  • Identify key decision makers/players, and critical info for strategy development.
  • Determine competitor sizing and product by selecting information from computer generated databases
  • Confers with manufacturing to assure processes, techniques and time schedule will meet customer needs
  • Meet with customer to present technical solutions and close sales on high value projects
  • Analyzes customer’s problems and recommends corrective action
  • Supports integration opportunities with acquisitions with North America that are within the nuclear scope of work
Qualifications and required skills:
  • Externally focused with a drive to fully understand and meet customer needs – able to present a polished “face to the customer”
  • Demonstrates ownership, initiative, clear thinking, self-motivation and proven leadership capabilities
  • Candidate must have strong oral & written communication skills in English to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment and capable to coordinate highly technical discussions with product development and project engineering teams – further languages are a plus
  • Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Understand the process of nuclear power plants as well as the basics of control valves and applications
  • Education - They will have a BS science/technical degree with at least 5 years experience or a masters degree supporting a manufacturer's sales activities preferably in the nuclear power generation industry - industrial sales management experience a plus
  • Computer Skills - Proficient with MS office products and technical sizing programs for flow control elements and actuation
  • Technical skills – Ability to read manufacturing drawings, P&ID’s and understand nuclear power plant systems & process applications, familiar with Nuclear Quality programs and CFR 21 Reporting requirements

Performance results for this position are measured on revenue, margin, proposal success/conversion to order rate, proposal on time delivery, and proposal quality.
