Work with stakeholder groups to develop new procedures when necessary. • Responsible for hiring, discipline, performance appraisal and quality standards of employees and ensure that effective development plans are in place for employees. • Work closely with Maintenance Planner, Plant Controller and Scheduling Department while sharing common goals: SAP, MRP, and Cycle counting. • Works closely as required with Manufacturing Manager to ensure good communication and understanding of the process plans, labor costs, and working capital. • Partners with all Production Supervisors and all other plant leaders in the effective management of their assigned business unit. • Identify, justify and execute process and capital improvement projects within their Business Unit. • Utilize TPM tools to identify root cause of issues, develop action plans to correct and manage process to successful completion. • Drives progress of TPM master plan within their areas of responsibility. Acquires support from TPM Promotion Office as needed in execution of plans. • Actively lead and/or participate in TPM and other Plant meetings by communicating timely and pertinent data when appropriate. Active involvement in analyzing, recommending and implementing solutions to problems within the Business Unit and the Plant. • Facilitates and coordinates timely rework of non-conforming product • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment. • Perform safety and quality checks and audits to take action and make recommendations based on these results. • Assist in basic Preventative Maintenance and work closely, with other support personnel when operational problems occur. Provide data and information to support personnel, such as maintenance, to facilitate the effectiveness of their performance. • Instruct, train, orient, motivate and otherwise assist employees so that Safety, Quality, Productivity and Customer Service objectives are achieved. • Supervise departmental Safety and Housekeeping practices; maintain a constant awareness for hazardous conditions and recommend or implement corrective action; respond to employee injuries by administering first aid; investigates accidents to determine root causes and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. • Interprets, applies and enforces all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules. • Supports and participates in safety activities to achieve departmental and plant wide goals and objectives. • Adheres to all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university. Five years related experience.
