Must maintain MRP system parameters, generate and release work orders, reschedule by Order Action reports, maintain area capacity plans and product forecasts. Responsible for internal customer contact in all areas relating to availability of product and resources, Sales Order changes, work order entry and scheduling, committed delivery dates, customer related research, capacity planning and answering questions. Provide the materials and capacity information to the required departments. The emphasis should be placed on providing the internal customers (Sales & Manufacturing Group) answers in a timely manner. This position supports all departments to provide excellent customer service and participates with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering team members to meet company goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist the Sales staff in their duties by maintaining all MRP systems pertaining to the work orders and manufacturing capacity issues. · Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, other Carlisle facilities and Sales staff. · Be knowledgeable of customers? critical delivery requirements and advise management of such needs when they are jeopardized by delinquencies. · Knowledge and understanding of terms and conditions, order confirmation and processing revisions and changes. · Process orders you would be responsible for such as NPI or for Manufacturing. · Maintain MRP system parameters for effective use of system planning capabilities. · Maintain Capacity Planning system parameters and utilize effectively with Manufacturing and Customers to meet shipment and company objectives. · Provide schedule and release direction for manufacturing orders in the facility. · Coordinate scheduling of orders with sales, manufacturing and prototype. · Proactively pursue the elimination of shortages that impact, or may impact production and shipments. · Communicate with internal customers and coordinate material requirements as needed with purchasing. · Conduct all contact and correspondence in a professional and responsible manner. · Support sales in the expediting of customer orders. · Assist in the coordination of any activities required, ensuring order and prototypes are completed and shipped. · Review applicable documentation to determine accuracy and obtain any clarification necessary from either the customer, sales, engineers and manufacturers? representatives. · Record accurate and complete messages from customers and sales representatives including technical and product specification information. · Perform basic mathematical computations. · Perform routine clerical tasks such as proofreading, maintaining any logs &/or updating information that affects the customer and product quality. · File and maintain files that you are responsible for. · Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum 3 years of related experience · Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills · Demonstrated good organizational skills · Knowledge of manufacturing order scheduling, capacity planning and MRP systems · Demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks · Knowledge of JIT and Kanban systems · Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel · Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards as well as related department procedures · Good problem solving skills · Must be able to work under high stress, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision · Associates degree (minimum) in Business or Technical Studies or equivalent experience · APICS certification is desirable and highly encouraged · Previous electronics industry experience · Previous cable/connector industry background · Physical requirements such as bending, stooping and kneeling with grasping of hand and movement of arm, wrist and shoulder consistent with filing motion in up to 5 drawer file drawers and computer use for 8 hours a day. · Combined sitting, standing and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks. · Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
