Location: Salt Lake City, UT Description: Master Production SchedulerJob ID: 1721# Positions: 1Location: US-UT-Salt Lake CityExperience (Years): ..Posted Date: 1/21/2010Category: Manufacturing - OtherJob Number: SN02-10 Apply for this job:Your application choices are:* Apply for this jobonline* Refer a friend to this jobMore information about this job:Overview:This position is filled by a Materials Management professional who, as a result of education and experience, possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and manage Master Production Schedules; interface with internal departments and partners to meet sales requirements and delivery of finished goods; processes customer orders and coordinate the associated DEA forms where applicable; insure raw material availability to support the schedules; and manage the partner/customer relations.Responsibilities:• Develops and manages production schedules to support manufacturing capacities and to meet on-time delivery goals and target inventory levels using the ERP system.• Interfaces with Planning/Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Clinical Research, Process Technology and partners to meet sales requirements and on-time delivery of finished goods.• Plans materials to support Manufacturing, Validation, Engineering and other activities as requested.• Provide raw material Supply Planner with timely material requirement via MRP outputs• Maintain Material Master Data in ERP including the planning parameters which drive the MPS process.• Review exception messages and planned orders (requisitions) and converting them to Firm Planned Orders, Purchase Orders, Stock Transport Orders, and Process Orders.• Maintain an inventory target level for each material using the planning parameters of Lot Size, Safety Stock, and Safety Lead Time.• Create and maintain Bills of Material and Production Versions in ERP.• Review and approve Master Batch Records, ensuring items, formulas, bills of materials, and descriptions match ERP.• Participate in the S&OP team meetings by providing an updated and accurate supply plan in accordance with agreed upon time tables.• Monitor inventory performance against target and highlight the need for action to the S&OP team when inventory is outside tolerance.• Review S&OP created forecasts in ERP.• Maintain all forecasts for non US Core products in ERP.• Provide Finance with Forecasted production and shipments on a monthly basis.• Collaborate with QC, QA to ensure that batches are released in time to meet production needs and shipment requirements.• Monitor plant cycle times to ensure setup and run times are aligned in the ERP system.• Collaborate with the raw material Supply Planner to ensure that schedule changes can be supported by raw materials availability.• Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications:Works on problems diverse in nature and requiring coordination between many different functional areas and international corporate partners. Must be adept at merging diverse points of view and conflicting goals to meet a common objective. Normally receives limited guidance on routine work. Expected to take general instructions on new projects and deliver the stated goals in a timely manner.Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5-10 years experience in Materials Management in a cGMP manufacturing environment. APICS certification desirable.
