Description:
PM Engineered Solutions, Inc., (PMES), located in Watertown, CT, is a leading powder metal, thermoset and thermoplastic custom molder and machining and assembly manufacturer. PMES is looking for a hands-on, energetic, creative and hard-working Production Scheduler to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and/or between departments according to production schedule in order to meet customer needs.  Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring and coordinating with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and manages production schedules to ensure  on time delivery of customer orders.Schedule production, labor, & machinery to accomplish co. needs.            and meet production schedules.Calculate required resources & costs of those resources needed, to accomplish the production plan.Streamline the production process through participation in the implementation of MRP systems, routings, and shop floor controls.Compile and prepare and schedule all outside processing functions.Report on metrics geared towards fill rates, labor and manufacturing efficiencies, backlog inventory levels, COGS and manage the dispatch & scheduling process. Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve conflicts and/or eliminate delays.Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.Revise production schedules if required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, in cooperation with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.Responsible for aiding in the sales order and expedite confirmation process for customer requests & needs through the Sales and Customer Service departments  with respect to capacity planning and material requests.Maintain system integrity QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in shop floor control of a job lot shop, make to order environment.Experience in plastics and metals a plus.Strong MRP skills and experience required.  Implementation experience a plus.
