Analyzes plant operations and key metrics to ensure that the facility maintains high quality and safety standards to continue to maintain our leadership position in the industry. Is responsible for expense management and control, including shrink, labor and overhead costs utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques and a Management Operating Structure (MOS). Ensures that Standard Operating Procedures are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business. Cooperates in a cross-functional manner as a change agent with all departments within the Company. Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating. Provides management of employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussions.  Leads by example with the Dean Foods Code of Ethics. This includes following Company policies, standards and specifications. Establish clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provide performance feedback. Responsible for facilitation and coaching supervisory staff in individual development plans that align with company goals. Participate in the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Responsible for establishing, maintaining and modeling the work performance standards of direct reports. Insure compliance with all company and plant policies and procedures, including collective bargaining agreements. Set crewing standards for efficiency and cost containment. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Management experience in both union and non-union settings preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to effectively manage people. Experience with application of Lean Manufacturing philosophies, TPM, or Six Sigma. Experience working with High Performance work teams a plus. Job Qualifications EDUCATION: BS/BA degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related discipline. EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of progressive supervisory and managerial experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
