The Production Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing a team of approximately 8–10 Home Loan Originators in the field.  The Production Manager will work closely with Originators assisting them in developing and maintaining a referral network.  Working to build a cohesive partnership within the communities and branch network to foster and encourage mortgage referrals.  The Production Manager will work with Originators to develop and implement ideas to actively increase community awareness of our Home Loan products.  The Production Manager will be expected to “lead by example” often taking Originators outside their comfort zone to cold call on key businesses, real estate agents, SEGs and members to increase external referrals while measuring and providing feedback to staff and management.  The Production Manager will also help establish, coordinate and actively participate in generating third party relationships with realtors, new home builders, relocation companies, nonprofits, schools, SEGs and other referral sources.  The Manager must creatively develop new concepts while reinforcing our fundamental need to deliver consistent, excellent member value added services.      The Production Manager will design and present training materials and concepts in individual and group settings to develop knowledge and encourage sales.  The Production Manager must also keep abreast of compliance and regulatory changes and deliver this information in a consistent and timely manner to the Originators.  The Production Manager must monitor adherence to guidelines and ensure the Originators are following departmental and regulatory procedures.  The Production Manager is also expected to stay abreast of changing market needs and make suggestions for new program or product offerings as needed.   ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  • Provides leadership and ensures the development of the Originators by measuring progress, coaching, counseling and recommending appropriate training as required.  • Fosters a team environment and encourages new ideas from staff.  • Recommends changes which lead to greater sales production and an improved work environment.  • Recommends new products or services that would compliment current product offerings.  • Exhibits a high level of ethics and professionalism and encourages such in the Origination team.  • Ensures work of sales team consistently conforms to established quality control standards.  • Leads Origination team in developing outside sales efforts.  • Assists in resolving escalated member concerns.  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.    REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION  • Minimum of 7+ years of mortgage origination experience. Credit Union experience preferred but not mandatory.      • Minimum of 5+ years management experience in the mortgage field, preferably in a sales leadership role.    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.     • Excellent understanding of Investor Guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, including but not limited to Correspondent relationships.    • Comfortable speaking to large groups presenting detailed information on products and services    • Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail.    • Experience managing/coaching a sales team.    • Must be comfortable with a range of office equipment and software including Microsoft Word/Excel, understanding mortgage system software, computers, copiers and others.    • High level of commitment to member service with a cooperative and friendly nature toward co–workers and members.    • Excellent time management.    • Good problem solving skills and analytical ability.    • Ability to create and lead in a team environment.    • Expertise in federal, state, local and mortgage lending laws and regulations.    • Expertise in building and maintaining referral relationships
