The position will deploy lean manufacturing tools with the goal of identification and elimination of the seven wastes of manufacturing within Del Monte operations. This position will help promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement that will result in cost savings, quality improvements, and safety improvements - significantly lowering the cost of production of Del Monte products.Principal Accountabilities:• Be a champion of the lean manufacturing methodology, providing mentoring and support to local management and workforce.• Lead implementation and maintenance of Lean Manufacturing concepts, including 5S, Kaizen, Visual Controls, Standard Work, Pull, Value Stream Mapping, Total Productive Maintenance, and SMED.• Drive the company-wide continuous improvement effort in cost, safety, and quality.• Develop and deploy metrics for monitoring the progress being made at the facility, with emphasis on reporting OEE and cost reduction opportunities.• Design and lead Kaizen events that will positively impact the business unit operations.• Lead or participate in Six Sigma projects.• Regularly communicate (both in verbal and written form) to management and peers key outcomes and cost improvement efforts.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other Manufacturing emphasis. Additional specific education in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.Experience: Minimum 3-5 years relevant manufacturing experience.
