We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Operations Team as a Manufacturing Manager in our Charleston, SC facility. Position OverviewThis position reports to the Senior Manager of Operations. This individual will be active not only in strategic and operational planning for the future growth of the business, but also in the immediate tactical issues of production problem-solving and business expansion. This position is part of a larger manufacturing team that focuses on continuous process improvement and the ideal candidate will be flexible to work multiple shifts in a 4 shift production environment. We offer challenging, stimulating work in a collaborative atmosphere where increasing efficiency through innovation is encouraged and rewarded! Primary Objectives:Lead and develop a team of associates including interviewing, training, , motivating, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews and recognition initiativesSupport safety programs and OSHA compliance, communicate pertinent procedures and safety regulations to associates, and ensure these procedures are followedCommunicate policies to associates and become the primary information source for staff, following-up to ensure compliance and consistencyDevelopment and execution of daily and weekly action plans in order to meet production performance expectations, including development of SOPs. Analysis and improvement of production processes and procedures including using Six Sigma practices and Lean Manufacturing. The manager will work to continuously improve the functionality and level of service by exceeding productivity goals. Coordinating shift distribution activities to obtain optimum distribution and utilization of resources, machines, equipment and material. Revising production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems. Ensure shift continuity by directing and following all process and procedures including workflow management, quality control, and labor productivity.    Background & ExperienceThe person selected for this position should have a proven track record of results in a manufacturing environment with a solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma concepts. The candidate should also have previous experience leading a team and strong oral and written communication skills. The candidate should also have an enthusiastic work ethic, passion for continuous improvement, and the flexibility to work multiple shifts as needed. A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline is preferred.
