 Lean Manufacturing Manager About the Company: Field Controls, a leading manufacturer of HVAC products with aggressive growth plans needs a strong professional with lean manufacturing experience.  The company is an established supplier to wholesale and OEM customers with strong brand recognition and a reputation for innovative, quality products.  Our team culture and disciplined approach to business management create a work environment that values individual contributions and celebrates team success. Located in the Southeast, the company offers the comfort of a smaller community with easy access to the conveniences of larger metropolitan centers and an abundance of opportunities for outdoor recreation. About the Job: The Lean Manufacturing Manager will champion and drive process improvement strategies, including Lean Manufacturing principals, to achieve significant and sustained results to bottom-line profitability.  The position will be responsible for driving operational excellence through continuous improvement and requires that the individual be accustomed to operating a data driven, team-oriented culture with strong roots in manufacturing and expert knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.  Specific responsibilities include: ·         Provide effective change management and leadership in implementing the company’s Lean Manufacturing strategy.·         Mentor and train individuals/teams on Lean Implementation and serve as a subject matter expert and resource.·         Manage annual cost reduction plans.·         Facilitate improvement events and train/coach/mentor other team members in facilitation.·         Establish budgets supporting Lean activities, track performance vs. budget, and analyze/evaluate options to maximize value-added results. Requirements: ·         College graduate; technical or business degree preferred.·         Minimum 5 years experience with demonstrated change agent credentials (a proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives) and ability to work well with all levels of employees, from hourly associates to senior level management and a track record of clear and significant personal impact in Lean-transformation in production settings.·         Excellent leadership skills in cross-functional, team-based environment, with the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate through encouragement, motivation and inspiration at all levels of the organization.·         Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles and the strategic and tactical application of appropriate tools - demonstrated ability to use and effectively instruct in the proper use of lean principles such as value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
