San Jose Summary: We have a unique opportunity for a Director of Manufacturing Engineering reporting to the Vice President of Operations. As the Director of Manufacturing Engineering you will manage manufacturing engineering operations located at our San Jose headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley. You will lead the prime technical arm of operations working closely with engineering and marketing on the development of new products for Prysm. You will lead the new product introduction (NPI) efforts for operations and will be instrumental in transferring product and process technology to our supply chain partners. The Director of Manufacturing Engineering must assess the process capability of key component suppliers and CM?s and transfer any new technology to them in a timely, cost-effective manner so that they are never a gate to revenue. The scope of the position includes process engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, test (PCB and Final Assembly), component engineering, tuning and test software processes, and CM technical support. In addition, the Director of Manufacturing Engineering will employ lean manufacturing techniques to our supply chain partners, provide support to CTO for new technology development, and be an active participant on the Operations Staff.
