We are seeking a Purchasing/Materials Manager. Candidate will be responsible for setting up Supply Management direction, strategy and relationships to secure customer service excellence while maximizing efficiency. General responsiblities: Directs and leads the DP Supply Chain function to meet and exceed customer expectations while securing materials availability and production planning within specifications and budget. Responsible for all DP direct material and Reno MRO purchases. Inventory optimization is a key performance of the supply management group. Facilitate the coordination, procurement and planning management, for timely New Products introduction. Initiate new and improved supply chain concepts to improve cost and delivery. Drive and implement potential cost reduction/avoidance opportunities. Develop and implement Supply Management metrics to facilitate continuous improvement. (e.g. metrics will include on-time delivery, customer satisfaction index, inventory turns, lead time reduction, supplier reduction, PPV, excess & obsolete inventory etc. Reduce freight, raw materials, packaging and MRO costs. Facilitate Supplier Audits to verify compliance to ISO 13485 guidelines. Evaluate supplier capabilities in order to ensure lowest total cost of purchased components. Procurement experience with GMP and RoHS compliant suppliers. Establish and implement supplier/commodity strategies. Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price and acceptability of items to specifications. Considerable contract/vendor agreement experience required. Deveop the supply team culture as team based culture with metrics being essential for sucess. Requirements: BS degree, MBA preferred. APICS certification. Private industry experience. 7-10 years planning/purchasing management experience in high volume medical device or scientific instrument industry.
