This is an entry level position responsible for controlling material required for the manufacture and installation of small antenna assemblies and large antenna structures. This person would be responsible for controlling and monitoring all aspects of the material flow from the creation of the purchase requisition from complex engineering and manufacturing drawings to the shipment to the customer and everything in between. Additional responsibilities include resolving documentation and parts problems. Tasks require sound judgment and the ability to interpret large amounts of data. This individual must be able to understand complex processes. The ideal candidate will have zero to two years experience as a Material Planner/Coordinator, be detail oriented and a self-starter. Specific duties, tasks and responsibilities include:• Responsible for scheduling of manufacturing/purchasing priorities and the creation of the paperwork that drives the process. • Creates Purchase Requisitions with appropriate contractual flow down requirements from complex manufacturing drawings.• Resolves documentation and parts problems. • Responsible for setting and changing production/purchasing schedules to maximize output of established priorities.• Reviews material requirements from the engineer's drawings or other system documentation.• Generates kitting requests and/or shipping requests.• Follows the flow of materials from order through receipt, kitting, manufacturing, inspection, shipping and installation.• Tracks projects and provides status of projects in progress.• Acts as a liaison between program management, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, shipping, and installers.• Works with engineering to resolve documentation problems.• Works with purchasing to resolve parts shortages and expedite delivery of required items.• Review and establish standard transfer values as required.• Other duties as assigned/required.In order to be qualified for this position, you must have the following knowledge and skills:• Zero to two years of related experience.• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes preferred• Experience with structural components such as gear boxes, drive trains, and structural steel preferred.• Requires the use of Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. • Inventory control or MRP operation experience preferred• High School or equivalent education required. • Some college or college degree is a preferred. • Must be able to work independently, accommodate schedule pressure, multiple tasks. • Deal with multiple inputs and interruptions. • Must be organized and be able to communicate well with other personnel.• You must be a US citizen or US person's in order to qualify for this position.• Excellent communication skills required due to contact with multiple departments including Program Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Control, and Shipping.Working conditions for this position include an air conditioned/heated work area.
