Manages plant supply chain performance, including quality, cost and on-time delivery performance.B. Understands the MRP/ERP functions and rules and continuously drives for improvements in the system (usage, accuracy, compliance, etc.) and integration into the manufacturing process.C. Manages and reviews inputs (SIOP, cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning) and controls (min./max. levels, ROPs, lead times, etc.) of the ordering process to ensure that inventory levels (purchase parts VMI, in-transit, C-Level, consignment inventory, etc.) meet Plant, Division and Corporate expectations.D. Balances and coordinates the work loads and responsibilities of the employees within the Materials Planning / Scheduling function to support Plant level metrics in the areas of Financial Performance (overtime efficiency, on-time delivery, top line sales) by leveraging lean principles and plant balance (level loading, ship ahead schedules, etc.)E. Provides input, support and guidance regarding the Sales, Inventory, Operating and Planning (SIOP) process and uses to drive improvements into the Materials Planning / Scheduling function.F. Coordinates with divisional purchasing resources to integrate supply base strategies, performance and improvements.G. Manages integrated indirect materials suppliers and tooling/MRO purchase and disbursement process.H. Models the Eaton ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and complies with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable. Supports EBS, ELSS, and MESH initiatives.Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements Education RequiredBachelor's degree in business or accounting with emphasis in materials and/or inventory management.Education PreferredMasters in Business Administration.Experience Required3-5 years of experience developing and controlling production schedules and inventory levels.3-5 years purchasing experience.Experience in forecasting product line structures and business cycles.Some supervisory experience.Experience coordinating, implementing, and continually improving computerized scheduling system. Experience balancing workload among product line planners and purchasing supervisor.ERP/MRP experienceAPICS certification (or completion within 1 year of hire)Experience PreferredExperience as a Buyer.Expertise in metal removal operations and automotive type processes, such as casting, screw machining, machining centers, and hydraulic component manufacture.Experience managing inventory levels including steel, rough stores, work-in-process, component stores, and finished goods.? Experience coordinating physical inventory.Experience initiating and monitoring cycle counting procedures to inspect and ensure inventory on-hand accuracy.?
