Hologic, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Plans, schedules and controls the throughput and levels of all materials raw, assembled and finished in a manner that provides for full manufacturing efficiency and complete customer satisfaction. Hands on participation in establishing inventory reduction plans by means of improved inventory and controls. Develop new suppliers and track each supplier performance in quality, delivery schedules and price. Manage the purchasing function for inventory items to support production, as well as MRO (miscellaneous, repair, and operating) items. Provide purchasing support for product development projects and new product introduction Aggressively work on material cost reductions. Develop and implement a RFQ process to support new product development projects. Lead and manage RFQ activities. Develop redundant sources as part of an overall business interruption plan. Monitor existing supply agreements relative to notification periods and assess ongoing suitability for current and future requirements. Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule in support of business objectives. Plan and maintain sufficient inventories to achieve production and sales schedules as well as meet inventory turn objectives. Ensure consistent regeneration and maintenance of Material Requirements Plan in support of business objectives. Manage excesses and obsolescence, phase-in and phase-out programs. Ensure material availability at point of use for all raw and assembled goods required to meet the Master Production Schedule. Confirm product availability with Sales, Marketing and Field Service departments to meet customer demand. Supports new product introduction including material availability and production planning. Establish, monitor and control inventory levels for all segments of stock (Raw, WIP, FGs). Ensure required level of inventory accuracy through cycle count program including management of the annual physical inventory. Hires and trains required staff. Reviews staff via oral and written performance evaluations. Ensure that design, implementation, test and maintenance methods/processes are developed and executed in a manner, which supports all Hologic's Quality standards. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, inventory management and production control is required. Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a successful skills, inventory control and warehouse experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates trustworthiness, respect and integrity. Strong negotiation skills. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or similar discipline. APICS/CPIM certification is preferable. Experience Prior managerial planning and inventory control experience required. Prior experience in managing Purchasing and/or repetitive manufacturing strongly preferred. Prior experience in Purchasing 5-7 years and/or Material Management. Experience in electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred. Specialized Knowledge Ability to draft and review Supply and Development Agreements. Understands implications of Terms and Conditions. Prefer FDA (medical device) and ISO experience. Additional Details This position may require international travel which requires the ability to obtain visas and passport for this purpose.
