Job Title: Material Handler Company: Courier Corporation Location: N Chelmsford, MA Description: Courier Corporation, has and opening for a Material Handler at its new state-of-the-art Digital Print Operation located at N. Chelmsford MA.  Using powered industrial trucks, the Material Handler will supply the digital printing equipment with paper rolls, cover paper, and related materials, transfer completed jobs to shipping area, and remove and store unused materials in designated warehouse space.  The Material Handler may also be required to receive and deliver incoming materials and mail. Job Duties:  Duties of the Material Handler include the following: Determine pertinent materials to be pulled and staged to help minimize equipment downtime. Transport materials to digital printing production line from staging or storage areas and transport finished product from production line to the shipping department.  Remove pallets, excess cartons, and other excess materials from production line after job completion. Unload rolls of paper and other materials from trucks on an as-needed basis. Perform safety check of all industrial powered trucks to be used during the shift before using trucks and report unsafe conditions or mechanical repair needs to supervisor. Perform preventive maintenance on fork trucks and changes or recharges battery as needed. Maintain housekeeping in production and storage areas. Perform other work when necessary including packing, cartoning, and receiving of materials. Practice all job, department and company safety procedures, including safe industrial power truck operation.  Skills/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Prior forktruck experience required; ability to become fully proficient in operating Clamp Truck required. Mechanical aptitude. PC skills. Must be able to read, write and follow work instruction in English and effectively communicate with team.
