Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Company: Georgia-Pacific Location: Santa Teresa, NM Description: Country Time Zone Maintenance Mechanic Requisition ID 4455 Full/Part Time Full-time Employment Type Hourly Location SANTA TERESA NM Description Georgia Pacific Santa Teresa, NM has an immediate opening for an experienced maintenance mechanic.  Seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable and experienced candidate with excellent Reliability Maintenance skills who can add value to our team for a Maintenance Technician position.  The Maintenance Tech will be required to diagnose, repair, replace, and install plant electrical, electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant manufacturing and support equipment. Responsibilities: It is the function of the Maintenance Tech to safely and efficiently troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures.  This job requires the ability to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic components, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. The candidate will perform other duties as required. This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes. Maintenance Technicians will be expected to possess and refine multiple skills in both Mechanical and Electrical crafts.  Most employees will work 8-hour shifts with overtime and most weekends as required.  Must be available for call-in emergencies as needed. Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of industrial manufacturing experience required. Experience reading technical drawings and schematics required. Must be willing and able to work all shifts, call-ins, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Previous corrugated maintenance experience strongly preferred. Required experience:  advanced mechanical troubleshooting and machine rebuilds; repair of PLC and drive systems; advanced electrical problem solving; advanced hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must possess own tools. Comfortable working in high or confined spaces. Work Conditions: Required:  Able to lift 40-50 lbs; available for shift work; available to work weekends; available to work overtime.  Candidates must be willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations and wear safety equipment.   Candidates will have to meet a minimum testing score.  Any employment offers will be contingent on passing a background check and drug screen.  Candidates must be willing to work in a tobacco-free and drug-free environment.  We are an EOE.  M/F/D/V
