Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts. 12. Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, hi-lows and trucks. 13. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit. 14. Develop and prioritize individual machine maintenance needs when necessary. 15. Drive hi-lo to move equipment for inspection/repair/installation. 16. Work with mixing, extruders, refrigeration, proofer, conveyors, boilers, silos and oven equipment. 17. Take initiative to learn more about the machines by reading manuals and other materials. 18. Properly Lock out/ Tag out any applicable equipment before maintenance. 19. Follow all “Good Manufacturing Practices" and/or established quality and safety procedures. 20. Job Title: Maintenance Technician (MT) - NOVI Job Summary - NOVI: Responsibilities will include: maintaining an automated machining line, a single batch low temperature oven, two horizontal CNC machines, and two automated robotic arc welding cells. In addition, MT will maintain the material handling system and assembly system. MT will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all systems breakdowns and performing all necessary preventive maintenance objectives. This person should have experience in troubleshooting, programming, and repairing robotics, PLCs (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens), pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding applications. Furthermore, the MT will assist in all production applications which directly effect throughput as needed. The person is also scheduled to do all weld rework for an aluminum assembly (manual GMAW and GTAW). MT will be responsible for adhering to all EHS Safety procedures and in-plant housekeeping initiatives. Maintenance Technician is going to maintain the transfer line & ageing oven, as well as the CNC (2), weld cells (2) and weld robots (4) in the plant. MT will be actively involved in training all Production Operators on ‘How to operate’ transfer and oven lines, as well as the CNC, and weld applications. This person will follow all the EHS safety processes, commit daily to 100% machine maintenance, and work directly with Production, Safety, Quality and Engineering departments. In addition, the MT is willing to work on all other tasks to ensure an uninterrupted manufacturing process. The MT will keep accurate spare parts inventories and up to date preventive maintenance logs. Also, the MT will schedule and assist in performing all the necessary PM’s for all production lines in the plant. Related Duties - NOVI: Trouble shooting & maintaining of production and general equipment used at the facility.
