Satisfactorycompletion of a probationary period and following established safetypolicies. Looking for experience in Electricial, Mechanical, Powerhouse Ops and Pipefitting SEE DESCRIPTIONS BELOW: Electricians - Have basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devices. Troubleshoot, repair and adjust electrical and electronic units. Use all standard electrical test equipment. Layout, assemble, install and test electical fixtures, control equipment, and wiring. Read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams or specification. Maintain and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches and electrical mechanisms. Inspect, maintain and repair various types of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. Inspect, clean and lubricate motors. Perform minor welding such as fabricating and installing brackets, braces, panel mounts, etc. Understand AC & DC current, circuits, conductors, and terminology. Know the various sizes and uses of different kinds of conduit, fittings, joints, and equipment for channeling services throughout the plant. Fit and connect conduit using various tools necessary to layout, cut, thread and bend as well as cutting holes. Work with and around live circuits and make hot taps when required.  Pipefitters - Have basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devices. Make layouts, cut (including burning), thread, bend, weld and install pipe by locating position of pipe, cutting necessary holes in walls, floors, or ceiling and fabricate necessary hangers when required of piping systems handling all manner of commodities (water, air, steam, gas, and various chemicals). Use stock and die or pipe threading machine and necessary craft hand tools in performance of work. Read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, piping diagrams or specifications. Install liquid measuring instruments. Connect and maintain piping to pumps, tanks, vessels, etc., containing or controlling liquids, gases and vapors of all descriptions. Install and maintain all traps and valves pertaining to all commodities. Maintain and repair sewer and drain lines. Capable of measuring and making sketches fo parts or piping, layout center lines, cutting, drilling, tapping and aligning holes. Understand and apply knowledge relating to the principles of pumps and bearings, valves of all types, pneumatic and hydraulic controls for both high and low pressure systems. Know the various sizes and uses of the different kinds of pipe and tubing, piped tubing fittings, joints and equipment for channeling services throughout the facility and know how these are fitted and connected. Power House Ops: Have basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devices. Capable or operating and maintaining boilers, boiler controls and related auxiliary systems such as fuel oil systems, pumps and pumping systems, boiler water chemistry to include maintaining pH, water treatment systems, electric power breakers and switch gear, reading and interpreting meters and gauges, ventilation systems and heat recovery systems. (boiler operator's license desirable). In the operation of the facility's powerhouse be capable of providing utilities and services to the plant safely and without interruption within specified quality standards. Have an understanding of boilerwater chemistry and be capable of performing and interpreting laboratory water tests as required. Understanding of the fundamentals of heat transfer and combustion systems to maintain the efficient operation of the facility's powerhouse. Knowledgeable of EPA regulatory standards as they apply to powerhouse operations. Capable of operating and maintaining air compressors, compressed air systems, compressed air lubrication systems, and air driers and filtration systems. Capible of learning the operation of plant specific equipment, including nitrogen compressors, steam operated hydraulic pumps, factory water pumps, etc. Basic computer skills to enter and maintain test results and equipment operational data into spreadsheets and data collection systems. Have a good working knowledge of steam and condensate return systems. Have the ability to follow and perform preventive maintenance activities involving the powerhouse boiler and auxiliaries systems. Understanding of cooling tower operations, industrial water treatment processes and sewage treatment facilities. Mechanic: Have basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devices. Able to read, interpret and work from blueprints, specifications and parts lists. Layout and apply approved mechanical principles for installing and maintaining industrial equipment. Capable of measuring and making sketches of parts, fitting keys, laying out center lines, fitting bearings, drilling, tapping and aligning holes. Use precision measuring instruments and working to specified, close tolerances while maintaining and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Understand the characteristics of various metals and properly apply them with other materials used to maintain and repair equipment. Have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic failures and take appropriate corrective action. Handle minor lubrication requirements when needed. Perform minor burning and welding requirements of an assigned job. Dismantle equipment to gain access to faulty parts, remove, repair, reassemble and make necessary adjustments to insure efficient startup and operation. Possess knowledge of shop mathematics, use of charts and tables, efficient planning of assigned work, dimensions and uses of fasteners (bolts, screws and threads).
