Longview has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in the Seattle Converting Plant. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the detailed planning, scheduling, and coordination of safety, manpower, parts/equipment, materials, and time requirements involved in the maintenance of a wide range of equipment in a corrugated converting plant operation. This individual is the principal contact and liaison between maintenance, plant operations, and other supported departments. Responsibilities include building job plans, developing shutdown schedules, implementing capital projects and upgrades within timeframes and budget, analyzing work orders, determining job requirements, maintaining key performance indicators, maintaining essential records, and training and development of the maintenance team. Position requirements include a high school diploma and additional technical training or college courses. An AA or BS degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or business is preferred. A minimum of 3+ years experience with heavy industrial machinery operation, maintenance, or repair with at least 2+ years in a maintenance planning or supervisory role. Experience in a corrugated plant or paper mill is strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills, including lead-by-example management style and a passion for improving processes. Superior knowledge of and commitment to safety. Experience with maintenance control systems, spare parts procurement and purchasing/requisition processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. CPI, 6-Sigma, Lean manufacturing experience is helpful. Working knowledge of JDE and/or Oracle systems. Proficient with MS Office programs.
