Summary: Operates injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment to form parts used in production of lawn & garden products by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned. -Run/assemble some of the departments products, including understanding material and machine requirements. -Regularly perform primarily pre-scheduled job duties at a rapid pace. -Ability to regularly perform job duties in conjunction with others in assembly area, while routinely being closely supervised. -Perform simple problem solving including ability to clear routine machine jams; identify and fix routine/repetitive problems; notify appropriate support person if unable to resolve problem themselves. -Perform visual and simple mechanical quality inspection of products being produced. -Perform routine maintenance as directed. (May include lubricate, adjustments, inspection, etc.) -Ability to be flexible to perform other duties, as requested/required during machine down-time. -Other duties within department as assigned (including, but not limited to, training of others within job class, housekeeping, reporting labor & production, continuous improvement activities, etc.) -Follow all safety policies and procedures; including, but not limited to wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
