Job Title: Injection Mold Machine Operator Company: Phillips Manufacturing Co.  Location: Omaha, NE Description: Injection Mold Machine Operator Phillips Manufacturing one of the industry leaders in the drywall accessory market has an immediate opening for an experienced Injection Mold Operator. The selected candidate will be part of growing a new product line. As such, the position will require at least 2 years of verifiable Injection Mold Machine Operation experience. Key responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to: · Inspect and prepare machine for daily operation. This includes the hopper, nozzle, molds, ejectors, heater bands, water chiller, dryer, grinder and ABS materials. · Perform start-up, shut down, program adjustments and mold change over functions associated with the injection molder. · Troubleshoot and resolve process issues like machine alarms, sticking parts, cold shots, short shots, blocked nozzle, flashing, part distortion, weld lines, burn marks, surface blemishes, sink marks, · Make program and process adjustments as necessary to insure the product meets specifications. Adjustments include things like adjusting screw speed, melt temperatures, injection control time intervals, injection pressures, clamp stroke, and other required changes. · Provide support to proving new mold tooling. Generate new programs to achieve part quality and achieving an optimum molding cycle. · Mix ABS, regrind and colorant blends as necessary to obtain proper color quality and product consistency. · Ensure the quality of the final product meets quality standards. · Document information as required in production reports. · Responsible for proper machine shutdown. This includes purging, disassembly of appropriate machine parts and proper cleaning to insure continued part longevity.
