Advanced Position -- NDE Inspectors - The selected candidate(s) will conduct visual, dimensional, electrical, and functional and nondestructive inspection of casings, welding fabrications, precision machined components, and assembled rotating equipment. Current Level II non-destructive testing certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A in MT, PT, and UT are required. Individual must have prior documented formal PT, MT & UT NDT training and experience. Must have experience with a variety of manufacturing raw materials, castings, fabrications, purchased items partially finished machined parts and various assemblies and sub-assemblies. Ability to read and interpret manual and electronic work orders, assembly and detail drawings, quality plans, special instructions, inspection, process, material and welding specifications, standard procedure instructions, bill of material and welding specifications, purchase orders, shipping papers and other miscellaneous procedures and documents as required. Uses shop mathematics. Uses necessary tooling, gauge, fixture or other inspections tools/ equipments and makes set-ups, for inspecting raw materials, parts and assemblies for conformance to drawing specifications or other required documents. Performs first piece inspection, layout inspection, 100% inspection, final piece inspection, subassembly (including piping / pipe assemblies, subouts, burning operations, tack welds, finish welds, etc.).
Entry level Inspector - Machine Shop - Performs functions on raw materials, parts and assemblies to assure that materials is within prescribed specifications. Must be able to read blueprints, assembly drawings and understand how to use and read tooling gauges and other inspection tools/equipment for the inspection of materials and parts. Manufacturing experience inspecting subassemblies, raw materials and parts required for consideration, inspection certifications preferred but not required.
Both opportunities require the ability to operate cranes, forklifts trucks and other material handling equipment as required. Must be able to stand for long periods, work in awkward positions and carry 50 pounds, 50 feet.
