The Company is established, though this facility is in its second year of operations and has tremendous growth opportunities. They're focused on locals only, sorry no relocation. What you need for this position: - 8+ years of direct plant management experience in a steel fabrication and X-Ray certified welding environment - To be highly motivated and self-starter with the ability to plan and manage multiple simultaneous projects and deliver on time and on budget. - Knowledge and application of ASTM and AWS Standards - Ability to accurately develop and update production progress tools, including contingency plans for unexpected problems. - Ability to develop a level of trust with the employees and motivate them to perform at their best and enjoy coming to work every day. What you'll be doing: - Manage approximately 15 shop floor workers, communicating effectively while developing and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and pride in workmanship. - Coordinating subcontractor requirements and material purchasing - Development and maintenance of production schedules with all employees - Daily management of the entire production process - Coordinating with Quality Assurance Programs - Employing continuous improvement practices and training programs - Promoting and enforcing Health and Safety Standards - You'll have full P&L responsibility for the Plant Operation - Hiring and terminating employees - Reporting directly to the Production Manager and the Chief Operating Officer as well as communicating with other Executive Management. - You'll believe that the final accountability for the Plant performance rests with the Plant Manger, and thus should possess outstanding leadership qualities, a never quit attitude, and desire to be part of an integrated team.
