Facilities Manager Jobs

A. POSITION PURPOSE:

Maintain facility and equipment to insure safe and efficient production runs of quality product, continuously monitor and improve equipment performance, maintenance spending and employees’ abilities and time.

B. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure production orders are filled safely and on time
2. Monitor equipment performance and safety to ensure equipment performs to set standards safely and repairs are completed before breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
3. Monitor and prioritize maintenance spending so that repairs are made on time at the best value.
4. Monitor and prioritize employees’ time, skills and training to ensure that employees’ time is spent efficiently.
5. Manage spare part inventory to insure production needs are met
6. Manage capital projects for future growth of business
7. Develop and implement cost savings measures to current production methods / machines.
8. Plant layouts and improvements
9. Manage capital spending – planning, implementation and administration
10. Development of training, documentation for equipment and best demonstrated manufacturing methodology
