PREVIOUS SAP EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. US CITIZENSHIP/PERMANENT RESIDENCY REQUIRED. Summary Statement: Applies knowledge of basic manufacturing and processes and practices to expedite parts, equipment, tooling, material and services by coordinating between the purchasing, tooling and production operations to maintain deliveries of purchased parts, outside processing, tooling and other barriers in timely fashion to support production schedules and avoid any work stoppages. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Performs routine developmental assignments and applies standard solutions to problems or work situations of a routine or repetitive nature to expedite parts, equipment, material, tools and services. Management applies general direction to the results expected and review of completed work for soundness and accuracy. Coordinates with purchasing, tooling and production operations to maintain deliveries of purchased parts, outside processing, tooling and other barriers in the schedule. Determines the work constraints impacting schedule. Confers with production departments, planning and scheduling to determine the effect of insufficient labor, parts and material shortages on schedules. Conduct regular meetings pertaining to work stoppages, shortages and schedule constraints. Distributes and controls work plans to departments, denoting number, type, and process completion date of units to be produced. Expedites, routes, and dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Reviews production and forecast schedules to determine possible and actual shortages and alerts proper authorities of potential problems. Reviews planning, engineering drawings, engineering process specifications and other manufacturing related documents to make or obtain test coupons and provide related documentation for test laboratory use. Takes appropriate action to expedite materials. Monitors the Material Rejection Review cage items to ensure efficient flow of material in and out, back to suppliers, orders damaged, material repaired or take other like actions. Generates progress reports on schedule status on schedule status and keeps record of completed orders. Reports on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages and schedule modifications. Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Education, Training and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. High school or GED and experience in an aerospace or related manufacturing environment. Behavioral Competencies: Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders. Communicate effectively in written, verbal and electronic forms with internal and external personnel. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Level of Supervision Required: Works with regular supervision. Follows standard written or oral instructions. May need additional assistance for more complex tasks. Special Job Requirements, Training and Special Skills: Demonstrate competency in applying the following to perform normal job duties. Operate PCs and other standard office equipment and demonstrate competency in the use of division and company wide specialized software applications.
