Job Title: Priduction Planner/Expediter Company: Location: Grand Rapids, MI Description: A local manufacturing company is looking to hire a production planner/expediter. Responsibilities include but a not limited to the following: Enters production orders onto the master schedule. Plans, establishes and maintains the production schedule by workload and departments. Coordinates all outside processing. Contacts customer on job status and services. Determines and purchases material. Maintains a min/max internal order replenishment system. Works daily with shipping to schedule shipments on a timely basis. Attends daily/morning triage meetings with department leaders. Monitors inventories, tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules. Works closely with engineering and quality to provide a high level of service to the customer. Works closely with key customers to insure complete satisfaction. Must be a self-starter and self-promoting. This is a highly visible position with great opportunity for growth.
